Description of Flex slat chain conveyors
This industrial conveyor is an alternative to Robur’s slat chain conveyors, which are used in more demanding environments.
The Flex conveyor is used for transporting light loads. Many different chains are available for this type of conveyor.
Characteristics of Flex chain conveyors
Their width can vary from 45 to 155 mm for the aluminium structure and from 65 to 105 mm for the stainless-steel structure, offering flexibility to adapt to different product sizes.
FS, FM and FC conveyors can be fitted with different types of curves: horizontal or wheeled curves, vertical curves and helical curves.
Helical curves save space by integrating both the change of direction of horizontal curves and the change of level of vertical curves.
Straight, twisted modules can be integrated into the conveyor to create a sloping surface, allowing products to be aligned on a lateral guide, for example.
Vertical curves can be used to create steep inclines to convey products upwards, for example to pass over other existing equipment on the packaging line.
This considerably increases the available floor space in confined working environments.
The Flextoo conveyors with curved modular belts are available in greater widths than Flex conveyors. They are designed to transport larger products and can support heavier loads.
