One of the most effective solutions is to integrate a variable pitch screw designed and manufactured by Faber.
Variable-pitch screws (also known as ” endless screws “) are essential plastic components for setting the pitch of products on a packaging line. They are designed to create regular and precise spacing between products. Depending on the direction and shape of the screw, you can group products together or spread them out at the desired pitch on the conveyor, at high speed, while maintaining the integrity of the sometimes very fragile products.
Our design software, specially developed for this application, enables us to visualise the operation in the design office, before manufacturing these unique, customised parts. We can then test the complex screws on our test bench.
Stars, often combined with screws, guarantee regular pitch. They are generally used to convey products one at a time for filling, packaging, etc.
These parts are manufactured in plastic machining, enabling us to customise them for your projects.
Timing Conveyors
Industrial timing conveyors are one of the other methods available to space your products (bottles, flasks, boxes, cartons, etc.).
They operate on two conveyors fitted with wedge belts or slats, positioned on edge above the main conveyor. The products are pinched and positively driven.
Spacing is created when products are placed on the main conveyor by a speed differential between the timing conveyors and the main conveyor.
